It's very possible. In cyberworld, nervousness doesn't play into the whole "getting to know you better" part of dating. We are at ease and more free with how we speak since we can end relationships here on-line with a simple little "click". Just like in the real world, caution is stressed. Then there is always the chance that you are not really speaking to the person you thought you were. And worse yet, what if you do find someone you really fall for but they live across the country? What do you do? You do what you would normally do, take it a step at a time and go from there. smile

I would say yes, but its probably going to be a different form of love than you'd normally find. Since you two are separated by great distances and only able to see each other through pictures or webcam, you're attraction is likely to be more about words and fantasy than a traditional love relationship. But I don't think that makes on-line love any less valid.

It is possible to fall in like with someone online but until you meet them and spend time with them in the real world I don't think you can really fall in love with them.

would you fall in love with some one on the phone, or some one who wrote you a letter, if the answer is yes, you need a great deal of counselling

Easier than in person, I bet.
You get to see the real person. There are huge dangers, of course. You could have a serial killer online! You can't read body language, you can't hear tones of voice...
hmmm, you can't trust them then.
No, maybe not. Maybe there's nothing like the real thing. Yeah, I would say that's your best bet.

You can become infatuated with someone on line! It's like waiting for the unexpected!
