This would depend upon a few things.

1) Are you eating anything while studying? Depending upon what you are eating you are actually gaining more calories than losing... except for celery. You actually burn off more calories than you are consuming.

2) In what position are you in while studying (ie: laying down on a floor or couch, sitting in a chair, draped over part of the furniture and floor, etc)? Depending on how you position yourself you might be able to burn off a calory or two just by using muscles to "hold" yourself in place (expecially if you're like my daughter who hangs face down from her chair to the floor).

3) Are you writing anything down or are you simply reading? Again if you are doing something else other than using your eyes, you might burn off a calory or two.

Google it, most sources say between 60 to 100 calories per hour, but it depends on the person.
Individually, it probably depends on you basal metabolic rate (BMR), since studying (sitting and reading) is a sedentary activity.

Depends on what you eat. If you eat nothing during studying then you consume no caloires.
