I know I would have to buy/ make compatable engine mounts for this engine and that I would have to replace the fuel system and electrical system and suspention and axels. I would also have to take the F250 transmission and transfer case, possibly make my own drive shafts in the machine shop, but could it be done? I am thinking about taking the guts out of a 2006 F250 that is in my neighbor hood. The guy bent the frame ten ways to sunday, but all parts are still in one peice, the thing still starts great, just bent at about 45degrees. would the motor actually fit in the ranger?

It is all possible. It just depends on how much work you are willing to put into it. If you know a good machine shop and if you are creative and can fabricate things yourself go for it man. It may turn out you are using really nothing but the skin from the Ranger. Thats OK though

ANYTHING is possible, the question is will it be worth it???

I've only seen small block v8's installed w/o major modifications, but you may have to modify the firewall, the fender wells, the cross member, the trans hump in the floorboard, and more than likely a new hood to accommodate the height of the engine also

I very own an 89 mustang. It has a 302 in it. i think of that it must be accessible to place it in a ranger. consistent with 365 days. If accessible check out the motor carriage of a 88 by ninety 3 mustang and spot in the event that they are close in assessment. My 89 is extremely small. I do think of it extremely is accessible and could strengthen the means. whether it extremely is extremely helpful to ascertain if the truck can take such torque. as a ways by way of fact the rear end and force ttrain.

you can put it ON a ranger never in one.. about it.. the motor is too big for the frame rails to handle (plus the engine weighs about the same as the truck).. plus you have 3 computers to install and the 125v wiring you have to install as well as the turbo...

ebay the motor and transmission..get about $12,500 for it...

or replace the frame for about $5,000 and got a great truck... Just ask any body shop or a experienced Ford tech.. they'll tell you how to pull the cab real quick (as it's easier to yank the cab and work on the engine)

you could do it a lot faster if you found a truck with that moter allready in it and running then take your ford ranger body and set it on that frame, you would still have a ranger truck just on steroids.do it it would be cool.
I once took and old 54 ford truck body and put in on a lincoln town car chassis it road great I called iy a Linc-up

You might have to shave the fender wells and knock the firewall in some.

its probable but not a practical engine swap, a lot of work but if you have the time and the resources go for it

you would have one bad*** truck
