I am getting a laparoscopy done on the 19th of October. We are doing this to see why I am not getting pregnant. if there are any tubes blocked. What are the chances of getting pregnant after? How long should I wait until I try to get pregnant again. (been trying for over a year and a half). Anyone had complications? This is my last resort, I feel like I am the only woman going through this. I am hoping to get pregnant before Christmas, ans a christmas gift to my husband and his parents, and my parents. And OF COURSE MYSELF!

Funny that you ask this I thought the same thing before I had laparscopy. ( I was having severe pain on the right side of my uterus and cervix area, found out I had a loose ligament causing my ovary to hit against my uterus) I had laparoscopy on April 25, had my first cycle since the birth of first son on May 3rd and conceived on May 19th, first try. My doctor told me it would be fine to get pregnant any time after the two week healing period he gave me. I am now 21 weeks along and doing great.
Now I didn't have anything removed, cut or anything so if you do have things done it might be longer. Good luck I hope everything works out and turns out fine.

I had a laparoscopy a few years ago, and I was told the chances of becming prego after was much higher! It depends on what they find though! More than likely they will just clean you out and that increases your odds! But be ready, it is quite painful afterward! But it's all worth it if you can then get prego!! Good luck!

I had laparoscopy and it doesn't have any affect on you getting preggers, who knows when they look in there they might see a little one hanging out.
