The answer to me seems obvious for many reasons.



Non violent offenders clogging up jails and court systems.

Tax monies and profits to help alleviate budget deficits

Farmers would have a viable cash crop reducing the need for subsities

Illicit dealing of pot would be drastically reduced

DEA and other law enforcement would have more recources to focus their efforts on truly dangerous drug activity

A large percentage of Americans use it anyway, even if it is illegal

The biggest issue with marijuana use is that the chemical THC remains in the body for a long period and auto/work related accident investigations that require intoxication levels be checked, cannot determine time of consumption.

I think they should legalize it because if teens can get it it wont be so much of a thrill to not get caught smoking it so less adn less teens will stop smoking it

Yes, because it has medical purposes. All you'd have to do is put a tax on it and regulate it very strictly.

I think they should. Alcohol is a much more powerful drug with people being more prone to being violent and doing other stupid things with it's use.
