I'm a die hard Bears fan and would love to see it, but doubt it'll happen and that's probably a good thing. If they are undefeated going into the last week or 2, unlikely but entirely possible, Lovie will likely rest his starters for the playoffs... just like last years week 16 against the Vikes. 3 times at least back in the '30s and '40s they've gone undefeated the entire season, only to lose the championship. It would be great to see them run the table, but I'd rather see them healthy, rested, and Super Bowl champions!

No way, they're not doin it. Last year everyone was saying the exact same things about my team, the Indianapolis Colts. They said they were very strong on offense and defense and could win any type of game. The Colts had a great regular season last year, but they did lose 2 games. I think the Bears will do something similar this year. Also, will Lovey Smith even play his starters in the last few games of the season? That was another issue last year with the Colts.
The Bears definitely do have a better chance to go 16-0, though, than the Colts, because the Colts have many problems right now.

Looking at their schedule they may have a legitimate shot. However, the reason a undefeated season has only happened once is that it is extremely tough to play at a high level over the course of 16 weeks. They'll have 3 or 4 games that will challenge them, we'll see.

The best shot in the NFL this season to do it? Yeah, considering there's only what, one or two other undefeated teams, so the others are already eliminated?
Will they do it? I doubt it. It'd be nice, but I doubt it.
I do think that they'll go all the way this year, and give Chicago another championship trophy. And THAT will be nice!!

it just send chills up and down my spine just thinking of it...not since Ditka have we Bears fans been so excited.
It's like a dream...I just can't believe they are playing this well. But, 5-0...or 8-0 as they should be...is nothing compared to 16-0.
The back to back trips to the meadowlands followed up by a road game vs. New England ...that's the test.

I agree they have a good shot to do it - but I don't believe they will. I think the Giants will have their number and/or another team will upset them. I said in another post they would be 12-4 this year - I would change that to 13-3 this year and 14-5 when you count in the playoffs.

It would be be nice and they do have a great shot at it. I wouldn't be surpised if they did, but they may lose 1 or 2 games at most.

I'm cautiously optomistic.
Though a die-hard Bears fan, I've been trying to keep myself grounded...and not get too hot-to-trot, having "confidence" be the demise...

I wouldn't be a bit suprised.
They have the best offense in the NFL.
They have the best defense in the NFL.
They play a weak schedule.
16-0? Don't put it past them!!
