Is Ohio a good place to live in for a IT job like Computer Programming or any other?

I am 19, working full time at a resturant and saving up. I currently live in Florida with my mom and am trying to "leave the nest". So I want to live in another state. My eyes are set on Ohio but I am unsure if its a good place for an IT job or not. I know Florida is booming but it's just not the place for me.
My Brother lives in Ohio so I wanted to live there or any STATE around it. I just want to be nearby for him.
Can anyone help me?

Yeah, around the bigger cities, and some of the smaller ones there is a need for computer programmers. Check out on Monster or another job site for more specific information.
