As the repug guy said earlier. It is in the patriot act that in a time of war or unstableness the can suspend elections. Read the entire thing and you will see so much crap that allows him to go around the constitution that it would make you sick.

Everyone that answered he can't or that the Constitution would need to be changed are ...Wrong !
In fact via the Patriot acts one and two executive order allows that in the case of an open or ongoing conflict that the "president" has the ability to suspend all elections until a stabilization can be maintained ... let me go get the link.. because I am paraphrasing here..

The Constitution would have to be changed but even an amendment allowing more terms would probably not include him. That leaves a coup de etat and military state. Unless there were very extreme circumstances involved, the military would probably act against him to preserve the Constitution.

Either with a Constitutional amendment, or if there were some kind of extraordinary circumstance. Such as receiving a full scale nuclear attack or an invasion from Mars!

Congress has given him everything he wants. I doubt if those guys and girls in black robes are going to do anything. It might be unconstitutional but it surely can be done.

Consider this: he has expanded the power of the Presidency greatly, would he willing give that to a democrat? I don't expect a coup, but I would not be that surprised.

Thank God for the 22nd Amendent, passed after FDR, so that a president may only serve two terms.

In a time of war (as in FDR's case) Bush could serve longer by a senate/congressional approval.

FDR would have served three terms. (He was in his third term when he died in 1945.)
