i like bee's honey very much. i heard it is good for coughs to relieve them. what is it good for? and what should be written on the bottle to know that iit is made from pure honey?

#1 IMPORTANT......only buy honey that is made in your region like if you live in Illinois make sure honey is from Illinois or at very least midwest. Health food stores and your grocery stores should have pure clover honey......is also good for insomnia , and stomache upset,..........don't take too much can cause diarrea!

You should take a holiday to Romania. They sell so many types of honey right at the side of the road! And you should have a translator with you and ask the vendor which honey is good for what. They are THE BEST! Sunflower honey is good for one thing, Tea tree honey for another, clover honey, hay honey , etc.
The best is SALCAM but I have no idea how to translate that! It is a big tree that grows all over Germany and has white lovely smelling flowers in an arrangement that looks like grapes...I hope that makes some sense...

I have never heard that honey is specifically good for coughs but I normally use honey and lemon when I have a sore throat to lubricate and to stop me from hurting my throat when I cough.
It's usually quite easy to know if you are getting pure honey as it normally states pure honey on the bottle or states 100% honey.

the jar would say 100% pure honey made from either clover or goldenrod. Clover is the best one. It helps with the cough of a dry throat because it coats your throat and makes the tickle sensation go away.

Do you hav a bad chest? ive got a really good traditional remody for bad chests, biol some water and let it cool in a mug, squeeze some lemon juice into the water and add some honey drink slowly, this should relieve symptoms of a bad chest, my nonna used to make it for me when i had a cold agges ago =)

Honey is great for a cough. If you mix it in equal parts with whiskey, then the honey will coat your throat and the whiskey will have a pain killer effect, great for a nasty cough.

honey is a natural antiseptic and you can smear it onto a wound to protect it and help it heal!!!!
