I've always been big on the original Amityville Horror. It's a very low budget movie, but if you consider the fact that it's supposed to be a true story, it scared the crap out of me.

To me the ring, the grudge, and the omen was not scary I reccomend saw 1& 2, & the Texas chainsaw massacre,
