My school just put in a wireless internet server in my small office. This system provides service for all the portable classrooms at our school. The noise is driving me crazy. Is there any way to muffle the constant noise?

Do you mean noise on the line? Install filters on all the electronic equipment and phone lines.'

The noise has to be the fans. Most servers have a few. They are usually put into a server room or closet by themselves so it usually isn't a big deal.

I can't hear it, so I don't know if a fan is going bad, or it is just loud. A bad fan usually squeals or grinds. If it is bad replacing it will help. If it is just loud (which is what I suspect) the only thing to do is move it. It has to go in a well ventilated area that has AC and it should be locked away from the students.

Sorry, I know that probably isn't what you wanted.

.national-comcast

Broadband National has some of the best deals on high speed Internet. Right now they are offering Comcast for only $19.99 a month for the first 6 months. At the time of this review the offer also includes: $100.00 Cash Back* FREE Cable Modem* FREE Wireless Router* I've known people who have signed up for Comcast Internet through Broadband National, customer service is great. Unlike other companies I have dealt with if you have a problem with your service Comcast will send someone out to fix it.
