Chest congestion.
Mucus
Been giving him Theraflu for the cold, it has worked for his throat, but his chest and the mucus trying to come out is not breaking up enough making it hard for the mucus to come out. what should I get to help him?

Mucinex works great for mucus, but I don't know if they come in chewables, Make sure he can swallow a pill. For the asthma, Primatene mist inhalers work good, or he can swallow primatene pills. There are some things like caffeine in soda that can open up the lungs and break up mucus(and it tastes good:). Try a humidifier or a hot bath. If you use vicks vaporub on his chest, don't let him go out in cold weather because he can cathch a bug and the cold air is bad for having a cold. I hope he feels better soon. I know how hard it is to have a sick kid, I've got five with the barfs right now. GOOD LUCK!

Try zicam nasal for the cold........and call doctor since he has asthma about maybe some prednisolone syrup for short term use also...........if he can have an expectorant for congestion....if this has lasted more than 5 days an antibiotic is usually recommended because of risk (being in chest) of pneumonia! Take care!

sorry but you NEED to ask a professional doctor..because of his asthma..over the counter meds could do some damage..and I knwo you would nto want that to happen..if the doctoc says it is OK..then use them, but watch him closely.

Drink more water. It will help loosen it all up. Steam in the shower. Vaporizer.
