Its Laverne and Shirley
No they weren't gay, just stereo typed for woman trying to break through to be free independent persons. Not married and raising kids. A good example is "Sex in the City" put into the late 50's.

The homosexuals were still in the closet when that sitcom was made, so I doubt it.
