Good question.

Go figure!

Its for the same reason that Tim Hortons coffee cups say "caution - hot", packages of peanuts say "may contain nuts" and doll clothing says "for use on dolls only"!

Its for all those morons who get "hurt" some way by being an idiot, such as driving, going over a bump and spilling the coffee on their lap... they sue the company and win because of a loophole that claims the product didn't have a warning lable!

the same reason that Mc Donalds has written several times on the cup and coffee lid warning coffee may be hot (if you look on a Mc D coffee cup it is on the cup more than four times

this is a requirement by law in the event that a person should get injured the company is not held resposible because they did provide a written warning

and check out on a peanut butter jar it may contain peanuts

Because if they didn't have the warning label, stupid people would take the pills, fall asleep while driving or such, and successfully sue the drug manufacturer - claiming that they didn't know a sleeping pill would make them fall asleep.

So if you are foolish enough to drive after taking a sleeping pill, and get in an accident because of your drowsiness, you won't have a lawsuit against them. They are covering themselves.

People are stupid, and sue happy. They'd love to take the pill, then drive, get in a wreck, and Sue
this country sucks because of the 'sue happy mentality'

because some people in the world are very stupid.
remember the man that sued the RV maker because he put the RV on cruise control and got up to use the bathroom and wrecked? he won the suit....the manufacturer has to cover their own butts

Because there are so many morons in the world that they (the drug companies) have to cover themselves so that they don't get sued because some idiot tries to drive and kills someone or something along those lines.

I know it sounds dumb but some people don't have the brains they came with and do stupid things. This way they can't say they weren't warned.
