I want to be a dead prom date for Hallloween......?

any ideas on how to make it happen? for a fair price of course. i have long hair thats kinda hard to style and live in a remote area. im also going to probably end up making my dress, so any sites with patters will be appreciated as well. :D thanx!

Simplicity patterns are always great. They have some new zombie-bride-Victorian patterns that are fun. Otherwise, I'd say go to Good Will or a garage sale and get an old prom dress. Make yourself a sash and write on it (fabric paint, embroider, or fabric Sharpie) your prom title. Decide how you "died" and accessorize and do you make up to fit that. If you drowned, have some sea weed, and make your make up a greenish-tint. If you were stabbed, make a bloody cut in the dress and make your makeup ghastly and have blood come from your mouth and nose. Have a lot of fun with the makeup, that is what will make the costume complete.

Making the dress is easy but I would check a thrift store it's cheaper because fancy fabric can be expensive, like $7-$25 a yard and a thrift store dress can be anywhere between $1 and 25 for a whole dress or dress and skirt combo. then just gross it up, fake wounds , fake blood(*see links below) matted hair and use a clear plastic party cup for broken glass effect, also old rib and chicken bones can be useful. Have fun!

go to a thrift store and find an old prom dress already made get a can of black spray paint and add some detail to your dress like a burnt dress then make a sash that says prom queen and get a little girl crown dollar store and pin it to your head and silver or gold shoes all can be found in thrift shop good luck.dont forget your flowers.

Why not visit your local thrift shop and get an old prom dress (they're usually $5-10). For your hair, why not make it so it's really wavy but really messy, like you just crawled out of a grave.

you can go to Wal-mart and buy most of your costumes material their and you can make your dress or if you have an old prom dress you can use that or have older sister then you can use her dress. and then you can have black and white hair and paint your face white with black makeup to outline your face. or have blood coming from your mouth and the top of your head and either a knife or something else that is sharp(fake) hanging from your head or something that none seen before.
