i have a mother in law from hell she lives with us she gets drunk and no one does anything my husband dosent do anything

If you are not happy tell them both.
My m.i.l. lived with me for six months and at first I did everything I could to make her feel at home and then I stopped and thought about it. It was no longer my home and that was not right.

Really difficult one sounds like they both need to wake up and smell the coffee. Or move out. I guess your husband just thinks you are over reacting because he is so use to her behaiviour he doesn't notice it's not on. But it doesn't excuse him for doing nothing and taking you for granted. Not sure how you should achieve it but you need to make him realize you don't except the way you are being treated.

Hide all the alcohol. Tell her she is not allowd to drink while she is living under your roof. Tell your husband you are unhappy with his mother's drinking. If the situation doesnt improve soon get rid of her!!!!!!!!!
