the Auction i guess. it's easier than having to go to the store.

With careful shopping, one can find almost ANYTHING on ebay.
I have purchased music CDs, Videos, art prints and done a lot of Xmas shopping without having to go to the stores to do this. By comparing the same items, offered by several sellers, I can save a LOT of money, as long a I am careful to choose sellers with good reputations, and I am sure to factor in the shipping costs.
Short answer is, because it is convenient to shop on line. I don't only shop on ebay. I have bought a few items directly from manufacturers and other dealers, as well. I have done this when I couldn't find EXACTLY what I needed from a reliable seller on ebay.
Regarding security: I have not had any problems. Perhaps I have been lucky. But I will make one observation. I don't think that online shopping, ebay or otherwise, anymore risky than walking out of a mall, across a parking lot, alone, with my purchases. Perhaps I am even safer, since, at worst, I only risk money.

i love ebay, i sell and buy..i like it because i sell alot of stuff i have but have no use for. you just have to be careful to read the sellers feedback and make sure they are good people and wont rip you off. it is a legal service so people who bid have to buy if they win and if the seller doesnt mail it if can go as far as the police and stuff its a legally binding contract. you can get things much cheaper there just be sure to read the descriptin and the sellers feedback

eBay is awesome. Not only can you buy anything and everything, but you can sell your own stuff and transfer it to PayPal credit. You can then use that credit to buy stuff that you would rather have. eBay is tax-free and you can buy great used stuff that would be a lot more expensive new.

Because you can find almost anything you are looking for, and the fact it is an auction means its possible to aquire things much more cheaply than buying brand new.

people buy on eBay because its easy don't have to get dressed u can do it when u are not up to going out
