The longest word in any major English language dictionary is "p n e u m o n o u l t r a m i c r o s c o p i c s i l i c o v o l c a n o c o n i o s i s", a 45-letter word supposed to refer to a lung disease, but research has discovered that this word was originally intended as a hoax.

The longest word listed in the Oxford English Dictionary is pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis this is a supposed lung disease.

It might be "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" (which appears in the Oxford English Dictionary), unless you want to count names of diseases (such as "pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis," defined by the OED as 'a factitious word alleged to mean 'a lung disease caused by the inhalation of very fine silica dust, but occurring chiefly as an instance of a very long word'), places (such as "Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch," a village in Wales), chemical compounds (apparently there is one that is 1,913 letters long), and also a few words found only in Joyce's Finnegans Wake.

Im not sure about English but In Turkish you can get like 17lettered words... eg
AfyonKarahisarlasdiramadikdanlardanmisiniz?
(are you one of those we couldnt make Afyon Karahisar--its a place in Turkey I think)
