I have a spot on my right leg, above the knee and about 10 or 11 inches in length, that always has a bit of a numb feeling in it. It is just slightly off-center to the right. Some days more so than others. However, sometimes it starts burning, all by itself. It feels like I'd spilled lighter fluid on it. One time, it was so bad, it woke me out of a sound sleep. Felt like it was on fire. It generally happens about 4 to 6 times a month, and the circumstances are different (could be working, walking, sitting still, sleeping, etc.). Any idea what can cause this? Thanks...

If you've injured the leg you could have torn the muscle especially if you have the numbness you're best bet is to go the Dr. and have an MRI done to check it out it could even be more serious than that Good Luck

Protect the area from skin to skin contact when you walk. You may need to use a large bandage to keep the skin from rubbing.
