I think the people who are joking about this are sad....
Having got that out of the way, how much were the Yankees going to pay this guy next year? This does take yet another salary off the bloated payroll..

he had quite a few bad games with the phillies, and after that he got traded...then his team lost to the tigers in post season. it possibly could of been suicide or the pilot could have been a tigers/mad yankees fan...
phillies are my home team...they should have never traded him.
