No. That's tantamount to carrying a concealed gun [that shoots bullets]. I think that schools and parents have to work together to create an environment of safety and discipline, where parents, teachers and school administrators work hand-in-hand. Where students are not allowed to get away with bullying other students, either physically or verbally. No hazing, either. Some school districts may have to resort to trained, armed security guards or police officers. Others may do fine with metal detectors and cameras. Each school should be evaluated individually.

Based on conversations I've had with public school teachers in my area, I think teachers should carry tasers in order to protect themselves from their STUDENTS!!!
