Maybe the tension is too tight. Or the thread is too old and brittle. Are you sure you threaded it right? Mine needs to be threaded from front to back.

My thread catches like that as quickly as I extremely have the bobbin in backwards. i will in no way remember which way it is meant to bypass in, so a minimum of thrice out of each and every 4 that I ought to rethread my bobbin it does that. The bobbin holder on my device is likewise getting somewhat worn; i'm useful that must be a piece of the concern as properly.

It's not threaded correctly, the tension is too tight or your machine may need oiling if its an old machine. You may also try pulling the top thread out further ..say about 9 inches ..before you begin to stitch.

I have an old singer sewing machine. Try checking the tension. The rethread the machine. Also a good point, make sure you are using the correct thread for the material.

I'd check the bobbin and put it in again. Than re-thread
the needle, check your tensions for that type of material.
Sometimes, it is all that is needed.

i just went though this. THE BOBBIN IS IN WRONG!:]]] when you hold the bobbon in your hand, when the thread is hanging out, and when you pull it, make sure the bobbin spins clockwise. this i believe is your problem.
