What the #($*! Baseball season is not over yet people!
I am so sick that just because NYY got eliminated, the stupid broadcasters think the center of the universe has crashed and burned.
Sorry, folks, Steinbrenner failed... again.
The NYY fat payroll didn't pan out... again
and maybe the Yankees should thank their lucky stars they were not swept, just beaten by the lowly Detroit Tigers.

So it is still Game On! Be a "TRUE" baseball fan and watch the Mets/Cards and Tigers/ A's. Life does not revolve around whether or not A-Rod waives his no trade clause, or whether Torre has a job in a few months.

WHO REALLY CARES ABOUT THOSE LOSERS!!?

The fact that the Yankees have been a baseball dynasty for the last 50 years...n e time they r eliminated it is huge...with all the talent they have and the payroll u expect them to win it every year and they dont...A team where the higest paid plaeyr in baseball hits in the 6 hole....2 cy young winners in the pitching staff...2 of their hitters finished in the top 3 for the batting title...the best closer in the game...on paper they r the best team so when they dont win it is huge

AMEN! I have always disliked the Yankees, anyway. Mainly for attitude. They just seem to automatically assume that since they spend so much money and have the players with the great stats on paper, they should win.

Right now, I'm all for the Tigers! Again, because when I was growing up, going to Anaheim Stadium to see the CALIFORNIA ANGELS, the A's were rivals, so I will root for whoever can beat them.

With the area I'm in now, I should, according to popular belief, either be a Cardinals fan or a Braves fan, but I'm still all about my Angels, and the San Diego Padres. And of course, the beloved Cubs!

A TRUE Baseball fan roots for their home team, but BASEBALL IS WHAT RULES, NOT THE TEAM PLAYING!

As a die-hard Red Sox fan, any day that the Yankees fall is a good day indeed. That we gave them their worst trouncing ever -- and probably the worst trouncing in the history of baseball -- still brings a tear to my eye...

I'm with you. The Tigers may finally bring some glory to Michigan after being so bad for so long.
