Planets in our solar system are divided into two classes: gas giants and rocky terrestrials. The Earth is the largest of the inner terrestrial planets. Any other space junk is not considered to be a planet, including anything from the asteroid belt or anything from the Kepler belt. The Earth is not the smallest, that distinction belongs to Mercury.
