Depending on what part of the country you live in and what type of palm tree you have - the yellowing could be a couple of different things. My first guess would be that the tree is getting a little to much water. If you have been watering the tree frequently - try cutting back to - like once or twice a week (depending on daily temp). If it turns out that the palm is still yellowing (after reducing watering habits) you may try moving the tree to a partly shaded location (if it is a potted tree). In general, most palms are fairly heat and drought tolerant - but appreciate being protected from afternoon sun. Hope this helps.

There are dozens of different species of Palm that have very different water, light and temperature requirements. In addition, yellow leaves are a generic symptom with many possible causes. Anyone who thinks they can answer your question without additional information from you, does not really know what they are talking about. The place to start is with an ID for your Palm. Post a photo here if you don't know what you have. Then explain what light you have provided for it, just what your watering routine is and whether or not you recently repotted. Then you will be able to get a helpful answer, not a wild guess.

Palm trees have very poor root systems so they are very sensitive to too much water. That would be my number 1 cause. It could also be a lack of humidity in the air. If it's pretty dry in MO you might try misting the leaves once a day. Also use a fert like Peters or MiracleGrow all purpose and mix them at half strength and fert a few times a month.

is it newly transplanted or established? A good blend of organics thrown in at planting time would have helped. All plants suffer from shock when frist transplanted. punch holes around the base of the palm with a crow bar this will allow you to apply a liquid fertilizer that will become more available to the plant. Fish emulsions are a good source of food for plants. Palms dont like high levels of nitrogen. It may be suffering from windburn if it is in an exposed position.

If you live up north they will turn yellow and fall off just like other trees do. Don't worry and don't throw out the tree! The leaves will come back in the spring.

Normally when the leaves are turning yellow on any plant it is because it's either getting too much water or not enough root space.

Check the soil moisture. If it gets too much the plant kind of drowns. Transplant it to a bigger pot and check for any nasty mold or smells at the roots. Be sure to fluff out the roots if they're all balled up in the current pot. Also you might try a fertilizer. Ask at your local plant nursery and they should be able to point you in the right direction.
