Significant films: Summaries,co-stars,award nominations. What does that mean?

This is for my report on an actress and I just don't get the whole summarie and co-star part. please help.

Summarize the story of the film, list those in the film who co-starred (acted in it), and list any awards the film and/or actors received. How can the question be more simply put??
