I love the onion basket at Tony Roma's (the place for ribs) they take a bunch of thin sliced onions batter them and place them in a fry basket and fry them, they come to the table in a square tissue box sized portion. It's fun to pull them apart. When i was younger my grandparents took us there and always ordered those, so maybe thats why i remember them as being so good.

We have a fish place called Moby Dick (I don't know if it's a chain, or just local...I haven't seen them anywhere else), but their onion rings are to die for. The crust is really crunchy, they aren't greasy at all. The onion is crisp and not all slimy like in most onion rings. mmmmmmmm

The Plantation Steak House in my home town. They are awesome! Big and crispy, the onion isn't that little transparent string in there either.

I don't even like onions.

Well I don't think it's there anymore...Mr.Big Burger in burbank, calif.
It was a little hamburger stand. A large order of onion rings filled a whole lunch bag...and boy were they good.

the blooming onion at Outback Steakhouse is better than ANY onion rings. Especially with the remoulade sauce that comes with it.

The Village Rest. in Essex, MA. They are thin and don't have too much batter so you can taste the sweetness of the onion.
