Tell him you are sorry he is having a bad time and that you are there for him if he needs anything at all. Be there for him and listen to what he has to say. You can't make him feel better but you can let him know that you are there for him.

The best thing that you can tell him is that things will get better. Try talking with him, sometimes getting things off your chest can make you feel a whole lot better. Small gestures like a hug or a smile can give him a boost. But if he is really upset and irritable, just give him some space. And the worst you can say, as someone suggested is "wanna f*ck" That will only make thing worse. Try inviting him to dinner or a movie. I hope things get better.

there is nuthin you can say to make him feel better, but you cud try and understand how he feels and that will help
