Many halls such as the Veteran's of Foreign wars (VFW), or Knights of Columbus, or even your local Elks Club have space for rent for weddings and other parties. They are typically inexpensive and are very nice places complete with bars. Country clubs often have space for weddings as well. I've been to a few weddings in halls like that and had a great time. Check the white pages of your phone book, or drive around town, or even ask others in your area if they know of a VFW, Knights of Columbus, or even and local organization with a hall for rent. Your second best bet would be to look into a restaurant. Shop around and make sure they can handle all of the people in your party, will let you decorate, what will be on their menu, and if drinks are included. Congratulations on your wedding and here's to a long and happy marriage for you and your future husband.

December is a slow month for church weddings, but a busy one otherwise. I am sure that in Lexington, one of the 203 Googled churches will be able to accommodate a reasonable wedding request.

I live in Lexington also. I got married at the Moose Lodge here. It's nice and big. I would recommend somewhere out of town though. Like Greensboro or Winston.

Have you considered outdoor locations? You can get married just about anywhere you want - museums, hotels, resorts, parks. Depending on what you're into, what would feel most special to you, and what your general consideration are (budget/ambiance/theme etc)
