The stage is generally full of Telesales jobs wanting actors!! There are some Theatre Fringe auditions and of course some chorus work in west end musicals...but you would need the back up of a good agent. The Stage is usually full of wo about theatres closing :(

Get yourself subscribed to SHOOTING PEOPLE http://shootingpeople.org/account/auth.php

They are agreat network for actors though mostly Low Budget Movies and the like....great networking though...and a good way to get a showreel "which is vital" under your belt.

Buy a Copy of CONTACTS from the Spotlight Publications...contains every worthwhile agent and casting director in the UK plus Theatres, TV stations etc and all sorts of other goodies

I personally don't like one which is called PCR...I don't rate it much

Go to the Actors Centre in London and scour thier Notice boards advertising acting jobs

Backstage - good for castings and industry news
Variety - also good for the same in film
Entertainment Weekly - keeps you up-to-date on trends in the industry
American Theatre - indespendable for stage performers
Dramatics - great articles for student actors
Plays - free playscripts royalty free
Playbill - is actually a magazine with great news!

Backstage or Backstage West (for the west coast) for auditions, tips, and general casting things. It's THE best. Or if you want to stay up on the business happenings of Hollywood, Variety is the go to source.
