What exactly is it the tarnish? is it a mold?

this is NOT mold. Silver reacts with sulphur which is in the air. The more you use your silver the less it will tarnish also. here's a link that might explain it better.
Tarnish is what happens to silver when silver becomes silver sulfide. You can see this by looking at silver and looking for a dark black color. This happens when the sulfide in the spoon or metal reacts with the air around it. Silver should never tarnish. If it does then I would assume it's fake.

It's just like iron oxidising. It is not mould.

i think its a chemical reaction its just oxidation you can clean it off
