I am 5'2 and 123#, and I eat very little. Sometimes just a couple of slices of bread per day. I already have been told my glucose levels are low and I have macrocytic anemia.

Under eaters are obviously not taking in enough nutrients to keep their body operating at 'healthy' level.

Those whom are underweight may have different kind of problem of not being able to retain the protiens and nutrients of the food they intake. On the otherhand, underweight people could eat just enough to get by on, just not enough to put/keep weight on.

Both. But mainly by under eating. If you are going to eat less, what's important here is WHAT you eat. Bread is not going to do it. Our heart pumps or beats due to a chemical called potassium. It is the main electrolyte that keeps the heart ticking. If you deprive your body of the necessary nutrients then it really doesn't matter how much you eat of anything. Of course, eating too much of anything is not good. So when you do diet and you eat less, be conscientious of what you are eating.

(2) take an iron supplement and a multivitamin.

(3) seek professional help.

Yes, you need the food to give you the necessary nutrients. If you aren't giving your body nutrients none of your body is getting them. If one thing in your body is off, all the organs are off
