and since this is basically the only way gay men can have sex, it might have settled in?

I've never heard such a rude comment. and, considering AIDS is NOT a gay disease, it's very ignorant as well.

I am not sure because I have never heard this before. But since you are 1000% more likely to get HIV the virus that Causes AIDS through anal intercourse than any other form of penetrative sex including oral. I imagine that since the term gay sex is synonymous with the act of anal sex that would explain it. Anal sex is not the only type of sex for homosexual men. G0ys enjoy frot and oral sex. Frot is a wonderful experience.
