have really been throwing around a lot of derogatory phrases about gays since the Foley page news. Why do you turn against the people you go out of your way to cater too just for political gain. Democrats are even calling for Congressmen to register there sexuality in a gay witch hunt. It really looks like you have no loyalty. I am in no way defending Foley or what he did. Just wondering why you selectively support the gay lifestyle.

I notice some people are mentioning sex with children. Keep in mind, HE NEVER EVEN TOUCHED THEM, this was all just IM!!! When Pres Bill Clinton actually did the act, dems dismissed it.

Absolutely not shocking the Democrats profess a great love for homosexuals. They wish to do any and everything to make their lives better and freer.
Yet whenever there is someone they disagree with the first thing they accuse them of is homosexuality. I was just answering a question where some dimwit was accusing Ann Coultier of being a lesbian. They have also accused Matt Drudge of being gay. The list could go on and on.
So Democrats; once and for all is being gay good or bad, or does it depend on your politics

I don't get it? So now Dems are hypocrites? How so? I don't think Democrats/Liberals aren't supporting gays by wanting to investigating what happened with Foley. What's the alternative, covering it up? Do nothing? I just goes to show that republicans still don't understand Democrats. We question ANY wrong doing, whether it's with our party or not. That is what being a Democrat/Liberal is all about. If it were a Democrat, I would want the same thing.

I think the "you" are referring to is Democrats...
in which case, I haven't heard anything about this witch hunt, but if its true then its outrageous. Who ever had that idea obviously doesn't want to be up for re-election.
Molesting children is not part of the "gay lifestyle" just like it isn't part of the "strait lifestyle". It is a deviant and criminal behavior but has NOTHING to sexual orientation.
I, who may be classified as "liberal" or "Democrat" by some, think that these sex offenses against minors should at least be a lifetime sentence in jail, and anyone who might have covered up or played a part in it should be punished just as severely, no matter what their sexual orientation or party affiliation may be.

First, Foley molested a minor.
This is not democrats bashing gay people, because historically there have been a large group of democratic gay ppl (tho not all are). This is democrats talking about the hypocracy of a republican being gay. One major reason republicans stand out from democrats is that republicans think gay marriage should be outlawed and democrats, historically, think otherwise. Secondly, this is something major republican political figures knew about and kept a secret. Democrats are simply showing the two-faced nature of these republicans.
Thirdly, democrats don't share one mind. And there is this think called being moderate meaning you might not share all the beliefs of the party you affiliate yourself with.

Gay is not bad. People need to get over their out-dated, cavemen additudes about sexuality and choice. I haven't heard anything about democrats bashing gays...but then that means little. Rebuplican/democrat what have you...the constant bashing helps nothing. The parties are always switching their values. Look at the republican party 30 years ago. Gay, straight, pro-choice, black, white, republican...give it up everyone. Move on and just accept there are different people out there with different percepctives. Stop being so dang ethnocentric!!!! This has nothing to do with yout question, I'm just fed up with everyone taking sides and making America worse.

Politicians pander to their political base. The problem the Dems are having is their base shifted. Webster's defines pandering as: ... to act as a pander; especially : to provide gratification for others' desires ...
The Democrats are just providing gratification to the voters based on today's issue. Both Dem & Republicans are great at it.

It IS different with underage boys, but has there been ANY confirmation of explicit correspondence, much less sexual contact, with ANYONE under 18?
The Democrats say they are publicizing it because gay Republicans are hypocrites, or because they think the "right wing Christian" voters should know.
But it's gay-bashing, plain and simple. The Democrats have no problem resorting to it.
Same with anti-black bigotry, any time a black Republican is on the public scene.

It's your imagination. What is being attacked here is not the gay "lifestyle" but the hypocrisy of power. And no gay or gay-friendly person supports predatory behavior on 16 year olds.
