Even when you have the same diet as someone else, yet you always get more colds etc. Or when you eat better and exercise more regularly, and get more rest - why is it that they still never get ill, yet you do? Any ideas?

I don't smoke or take any drugs; I drink about two glasses of wine once a fortnight, and I don't have more than two caffeinated drinks a day.

All kinds of things can weaken an immune system:
too much sugar, too much exercise, too little exercise, stress, depression, parasites, allergies, tumour growth, lupus, genetic, lymphoma, crash dieting, stress when you were a baby, environmental... the list goes on.
Only your GP will be able to tell you exactly, and even he may not be able to (then you will probably get labeled PVFS or CFS etc...)
There are however, things you can do to boost your immune system:
1) Supplements - look into taking something like ecchinaccea. I find this very helpful. Berocca is also a great way to get a big vitamin boost daily.
2) Massage - Stimulates the lyphatic system (AKA Immune system) and drainage to remove toxins through your lymph glands.
3) Homeopathy - Stimulating the transfer factor in your lymphocytes in a similar way that a vaccine does
4) Detox/Marine Plants - help your immune system by eating plenty of anti-oxidising foods
5) Breathing exercises - such as yoga. Depleted oxygen supplies can weaken the immune system

Hope this helps

If you go to the dr a lot, or have in the past, then you will have a low immune system. Drinking causes lower immune system power, and so does smoking reefer.
