I did not have an expensive wedding. My husband and I got married for 100 bucks at the courthouse and I feel we are just as married as anyone else. Getting married is about the joining of two hearts- when you bring in flowers and dresses and music and big cakes you cheapen what it's really all about.

I got married at the courthouse for $85 bucks. It was the best money we've ever spent because we've been married for 12 years! People have big weddings to show off. It's not even about the wedding, its the MARRIAGE that counts!

Nope and if I had it to do over I would never do it again...most of the people who were at my weedding with the exception of family and a couple close friends, I havn't seen since. There are a couple who were actually in my wedding party that I don't even speak to and now I'm getting divorced after 13 years and would rather have the money:)

I'm still paying for my wedding 3 years later. But, I would not have changed a thing. It was the best day. We went way over board, but everyone told us it was the best wedding they ever went to and our friends still talk about it years later.

You only get to do it once.
