I always thought a "Leprechaun" is a small irish person (under 5 feet tall or so). I recently met a guy at a social setting and talked to him enough to learn he is of irish decent and he is only about 4 feet tall. I said to him something to this effect "With you being a leprechaun were you able to play competitive sports when you were younger?" and he got visibly upset and sort of just walked away without answering the question.
-my wife said that he was obviously offended, what is a leprechaun if not an irish midget?

oh my god!!! this is a joke right? its funny either way- a Leprechaun is a fictional character.... like cinderella, repunzel etc.... it is not a way to address a real person...

HAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHA!

Yes. That would be so sweet. Can you imagine all the free drinks and pity sex he would get on St. Patrick's day?
