This works for me. When I leave the office I stop and say to myself "work stays here". I leave all my work hassles, problems etc in the office I just left. I think to myself that I'm not getting paid to think or worry about work when I leave the building. Leave work at work! Good luck!

When you get home, before you do anything, sit down in a comfortable place and take a few deep breaths. Focus on the outbreath and if you get distracted with thoughts don't get cross with yourself just come back to the breath. Then take some space to ask yourself what you would really like to do in the evening, what would most help you feel relaxed. Try not to rush about in the same frenzy as you do at work but move slowly, reflectively and mindfully from one task to another. And never take work home!

Cannabis can provide the oblivion you seek.

Either that, or you need a good hobby.

Here's a tip- why not visit Tesco on your way home? Many people find an aimless walk round Tesco helps to empty their mind. The'yre all usually in front of me, in the queue.

Work out before you go home.

Run on the treadmill till you are giddy
Lift weights till you throw up

Go home, take a shower, crack open a beer if you like and watch the Daily Show.

I live my life king size!

Take off your shoes, Take off your pants, Take off your shirt. Proceed to the fridge in your underwear, & grab a beer. Turn on some good upbeat music & call a friend who will not start off the conversation with " I had the worst day at work.... "

Make a promise to yourself to leave work at work. Period.

When you get home take a shower to wash away the day's problems. You might also consider masturbating as a nice way to relax.

I change my clothes. I get into my 'fat man pants' and relax. I read the paper, play with the kids, start fixing dinner (yes ladies I cook, not the Mrs.) and I got to tell you, being tackled by my kids and playing with them does wonders for my forgetting about work.

Try taking a few moments to yourself, relax and let the issues of the day go with you. Do deep breathing exercises. It all helps
