This morning i was getting gas and this guy walks up to me and says, "can i have some gas..it need it to get to work an pick up my paycheck?" i was hesitant but i filled his gas container with some gas. Then i decided to go to starbucks and right when i'm about to leave that bastard was there too...i was in a hurry to leave but is that the thanks i get for doing a kind act?

This happens to me all the time, except it is for money. If they ask for gas I prepay 5 dollars so they can get home, but never cash, cause they might use it for drugs. Some times it gets on my nerves, but what you give you get in return I have heard.

This has started happening to me almost every damned day!
You know, I'm okay about helping people out ....but what's with this attitude they have, like - "Oh, Of COURSE you'll spare some gas or "gas money"!... It's not like I'm just panhandling you for spare CASH or anything!!"
And the worst part is...like you...I'm too nice NOT to give..
Maybe I need to move to the country, and telecommute.
Geeeeez!!

I had it happen once. Did not help them, they did not have a car or container. That is why I fill up my car before I drive into Detroit or Chicago.

Sometimes being a good smaritain is good but could lead to them robbing you... It appears your a lady and I'd say you shouldn't do that sort of think again.

that's never happened to me but one time i was getting gas and this lady drives up in a very nice cadillac. she asked me for gas money because she said she was broke. why buy a cadillac if you can't afford to put gas in it!!!!!!!

I've had people pull that and other stuff....I hate to say it...but I never give in.....all the bad ones have ruined it for the truly needy.
