I have scottrade live stream quotes. I can open up a little window that shows trades that goes through and the volume. What I don't understand is why there are three different colors: red, green, and blue? can somebody explain this to me

They are showing you whether the stock price was last traded on an Uptick (green), a Downtick (red), or whether there was no change from the last price (blue).

It's a great way to quickly see the sentiment of the stock at the moment.

Each color tells you the direction of the last trade, so if you see all green, the stocks probably going up. All red, and it's heading down.

Pretty cool stuff!

Sidenote: By the way, you can select best answer (whether me or someone else) instead of letting it go to vote.
