The Tigers have had their ups and downs since 1984 .....I feel they are finally getting their due....(Detroit teams have been doing good look at The Wings, The Shock, and The Pistons....Now if we can do something about the Lions....)

I'm not a Tiger fan, but I would love to see Detroit win the whole thing. It's been a while since the Tigers have won a World Series. It's been since 1984, when they beat the Padres. If my Red Sox aren't in it, I always root for the American League team and then the underdog. Should be a fun series with Oakland, and I really feel the Tigers have an excellent chance to defeat the A's. The winner of the American League is my choice to win it all!

I usually root for a National League team, since I'm from a National League city. I'm still rooting for the Tigers to win it all this year. I've always liked Jim Leland as a manager, but the main reason is that they beat the Yankees. I use to love the Yankees until "Big Daddy Warbucks" started overpaying players to get them to leave their teams just so he could "BUY" the series. It took the fun out of watching more evenly matched teams actually battle for the pennant. The Yankees usually have their division wrapped up by early August. I love it when it goes down to the wire like it did in the National League this year.

No it wouldn't be awesome if the Tigers went and won the World Series.

I am not giving up on the Oakland A's that's my favorite team and will forever be my favorite team!

america loves an under dog and the yankees have never been the underdog... no one would be watching.. have you seen the ratings for the tigers?? they have gone as far as they could of...lucky they never had to play the redsox teams of the past six years. they never would of got past them either.. lucky the twins were sent packing too, they never would of got past them either.. all the stars are lined up for a so so playoff team... not high caliber that the media wants to project them as. they are the cubs of the american league..
