After I had each of my girls, I was sick for at least six months. Every cold and flu that came along I caught it and I was sicker than anyone else in the family (most of the time they didn't even catch it.) I was down sick for ten days out of every month and I would run a fever of 102-105 for several days. How many of the rest of you have had this experience?

After I had my boys, I did not have this problem. I actually felt GOOD after the fourth one!

Sick as a dog from being so run down and getting no sleep for a year. If anyone really told the truth about how awful this motherhood game is, no one would do it anymore.

No, I have always had a relatively good immune system and I rarely get sick. You may want to take Vitamin C and echinacea, if, you feel a cold coming on. It can actually decrease the duration of a cold.

As for your postpartum experiences, you are probably catching whatever your kids bring in from the outside and you may just be more susceptible from giving birth. Make sure that everyone is continually washing their hands or using hand sanitizers. Use antibacterial wipes to sanitize high traffic areas and allow your home to be well venilated on warmer days (by keeping all your windows closed constantly, you're letting all germs stay in and multiply).

After I had my son I was fine!! After my daughter....I got soooooo sick. 107 Temp. I was hospitalised and fixed but I've felt like crap ever since. My daughter is now 8 years old and I still have trouble. Please talk to your doctor about this. Don't let it get out of hand like mine did.

I haven't experienced this- although I did feel exhausted for several months. Are you still taking you prenatal vitamins?
