Hello! you have to take two steps
1): Download a pop-up blocker.
2): Download a Spyware cleaner. (And the best i know is Spyware Doctor) goodluck have a nice day you can ask again if the problem continues

OK here we go, first if you're not surfing and you're getting pop-ups then you have some spyware or adware installed, spybot is a good start so is ad-aware.

You may have installed some "free" software or P2P software. If you did then you agreed to install the spyware. If you remove the spyware then the "free" software will no longer work or the software will re-install the spyware. You may also have got it through an infected e-mail.

But, be warned some spyware adware is almost imposable to remove (the spyware will hide itself all over the hard drive under diffrent names and then it'll just re-install itself no matter what you do). I've spent as long as five or six hours tracing down one piece of spyware, (I use to term for both spyware and adware). Anymore if I spend more the twenty minutes on a system anymore, I format the hard drive and reinstall the OS.

But I'd give those two pieced of software, you can get them both from www.download.com or do a search on Yahoo. If you can't get rid of it with those two save your stuff to a CD or Flash Drive and reinstall you OS.

Good Luck

Do they have the title Messenger Service in the title bar... If so you need to stop that service as someone is exploiting the fact that you have this pathetic function supplied by the wonderful Microsoft turned on.

For decent instructions go here

Definetly use nortons & scan your computer for viruses/bugs. Nortons can take a really long time but it is worth it.
