I get a free flu shot every year through my work. I am signed up to get my shot this year next month. My husband and I are going to try for our first baby two months after I get the shot. I definately will not be pregnant until at least 2 months after getting the shot.

It will be okay for me to get the shot, right? I wanted to make sure.

Thanks!

It is a great idea to get the flu shot. I get it every year. I got it when I was pregnant with my daughter, and she gets it every year also. And now that I am pregnant again, I will definately get it. You don't want the flu being pregnant!! You won't be able to take anything for it! It is highly reccomended for pregnant women and will not hurt the baby. Good luck!

Just to be sure in your situation that it's okay,
but at my job, they offer a nasal flu mist. That isn't okay to take while preggy or while TTC. They suggest the flu SHOT in that case. Once again, ask a dr. but that is my experience.

You should DEFINITELY get your flu shot! I got my flu shot at my OB's office last week (I'm 23 weeks pregnant). No doubt that it shouldn't hurt your chances.
