These are laws designed to prevent teens (girls) from getting birth control or medical care in the event of accidental pregnancy. I don't advocate teen sex but it happens, should parents be notified and girls be denied health care?

I think those laws are wrong.

It is very scary to be fifteen and pregnant. Especially if you don't have supportive parents and you definitely did NOT plan it.

I don't advocate teen sex, either - but I know for a fact that it happens - I graduated high school just over a year ago.

I think teens need to be able to get quality health care and to take care of themselves without living in fear of their parents finding out. That's why organizations like Planned Parenthood exist. I hope that girls will always have the ability to get access to birth control and medical care.

I don't think their parents should be notified, unless the situation calls for it (i.e., rape).

Teen sex happens alot... Thus it is wrong to deny young girls treatment. I am however against abortion for several reasons but still this should be the mother and father's choice... not the Judicial System. Parents by law have to be notified in the case of a minor under the age of 18... that is just how it is, personally i would like to leave my parents out of it if i could... but it is not possible.

I think that in the event that one might need emergency health care one should receive it.
However, as a parent I would find it necessary that I be informed as to what my offspring is going through, especially if he/she is under the age of consent.
I would agree that under certain conditions a parent should not be informed, and that would be when they pose a threat to their child.
With that being said, I am for it. There are too many groups that pose a threat to the many teens that find them selves in that situation. The consequences of these groups affect these young girls later in their life.
Planned parenthood and groups alike need these young women to help fund their cause. That’s why they advocate abortion as being the best avenue for these young women to take when abortion might be in their best interest.
Some parents do not always have the right answer, but they will have the best interest for their children at hand.
Years ago many parents found it difficult to accept that their daughter is having a baby but today, many of these young teens parents are facing these issue head on.
