it all depends on the job and company. it definitely should be a conservative suit in black, grey, or navy. you should wear an understated top and nice shoes with a matching bag if you decide to wear the suit. i'm assuming you meant a business pantsuit not a catsuit.

I see more and more professional women wearing pant suits. But for an interview I would wear a simple dress or skirt and blazer with appropriate shoes and bag. After you get the job, you can see what the other women are wearing and do likewise. There are some cities such as New York and Chicago (from what I've heard) that would definitely frown on a lady wearing a pant suit for an interview.

If it's a choice between a pant suit and your Halloween costume, go with the pant suit but seriously this is your first impression, dress as nicely as you can. You'd make a better impression with a dress, suit, or blouse/skirt but wear what you're comfortable in (other than jeans) and let your background and charming smile sell you for the job. The key is to look, act and dress professionally.

I've always worn a pant suit to job interviews, and I've always landed the job. Of course, Florida is more casual than, say, New York. But if you're in the southeast, you should be fine. :) Good luck!

Yes, I have seen women who wear pants suit to the interview . So it depends on what you are comfortable wearing. If your skirt doesn't match your blazer, then don't wear a skirt.
