I don't think we should allow society to dictate age restrictions in relationships. There is a 21 year age gap between my boyfriend and I (I'm 27). I have never been happier in my life. Just like with any relationship, it needs to have the essentials like trust, understanding, communication, interests, goals, etc. If those elements are in place, then nothing else matters. Love is the greatest feeling in the world, and age shouldn't stop anyone from experiencing it

Of course it is a big age difference to answer the question. But what are you really asking, does it matter to you that there is such an age difference or do you wonder what ppl think of the age difference.. I can tell you from experience, I am 43, and my husband is soon to be 30, it all depends on the level of maturity that each of you have reached. We have a wonderful relationship, but we have found middle ground, he acts very mature most of the time, and at times I act immature... best of luck to you both..its only numbers, and if you don't tell ppl how will they know there is such an age difference. go with your heart...

My husband and I have 23 years difference in our ages. We have been married for 10 1/2 years and I have never been happier. Age is just a number and it doesn't matter as long as it doesn't bother you. I cannot imagine not being with my husband. So be happy and don't make age the main factor in your relationship. It can work just forget the numbers and focus on each other. Good luck!!!

I'm 26 and my dad is 49. That's a gross age difference.

IS ALL ABOUT HOW YOU FEEL.. YOUR FRIENDS ARE NOT MARRYING THIS MAN BUT IF THIS BOTHERING YOU THEM RAGGING ON HIS AGE MAYBE YOU SHOULD THINK ABOUT THIS DESICION A LITTLE BIT MORE.. I DONT THINK IS A BIG DIFFERENCE BUT LIKE I SAID YOU HAVE TO BE THE ONE CONFORTABLE WITH THIS NOT ANYONE ELSE. GOOD LUCK.

Yes. Just think in 10 years, you'll be 36 and he'll be 51, yikes. And in 20 years, you'll be 46 and he'll be 61, Holy Crap!

If age is going to bother you quit now, otherwise anyone else's opinion is unimportant.

It is if you have to ask outsiders;i think you should take a long look at your own question and decide for yourself.
