If you're from the US you'd read it as 1 septillion.

10^6= million
10^9 = billion
10^12 = trillion
10^15 = quadrillion
quint, sext, sept, oct, non, dec, undec, duodec, tredec, quattuordec,...,etc + illion

If you're a Brit you might read it as 1 quadrillion cause traditionally they increment their scale by 6 not 3 additional zeros.

The long scale of zillions:
one quadrillion=Million ^ 4 =10^24
The short scale of zillions:
one septillion=1000 * 1000 ^ 7 =10 ^24

It depends on if you are in the US or the UK. In the US, you subtract one from the number of groups of three zeroes and use the appropriate numeric word root. This number has eight groups of three zeroes, taking one from that is seven, so one septillion. In the UK, you use the word root for the number of groups of six zeroes, which is four here, so one quadrillion. The best way, which is not ambiguous between the many nations of the world, is simply 10^24, or ten to the twenty fourth power.
