How far along are you? Is it one side, or both?

If one side--probably slept wrong--grin and bear it

If you hurt on bothsides, or are close to your due date, you might want to talk to the doc as you could be having back labor.

Well, it depends on where you are in your pregnancy. If you are in your ninth month, you might actually be in labor and should call the doctor now. But, if you are just in your first or second trimester, you may have a nerve problem due to the shifting of the baby's weight. Call the doctor's office and ask the nurse. She'll tell you if you should come in to see the doctor.

it's completely normal. don't go to the doctor for every little ache and pain. that's all part of being pregnant. trust me, i know. i am 34 weeks today and i have had nothing BUT backaches throughout my pregnancy. i'm having a boy and i've had people tell me that's alot of the reason for the pain because he is soooooo active. i guess you could have it with a girl too. anyways, don't worry about anything, you're fine!

It really depends on how far along you are. My back and my right side hurt through out most of the last part and it was due to the fact that she was breech and her head was wedged into my rib cage. I'd go get it checked out. They might want to check on the position of the baby. Good luck!

What do you mean by saying the word "hurt?" Painfull to the pont of Wow or just a dull ache. Think of things you've been doing lately like moving things, maybe you've found new muscles. When your pregnant your body, mind and physique all change to accomadate the change. Rest, relax, listen to music, maybe it's just something simple. If you can't get rid of it, then definately go see the doc. and congratulations.

I don't think you should worry about it, unless the pain is unbearable. Everything, always hurts when you're preg. At least that is my expirience. I would get sharp pains in my side I was told in was ligaments stretching. my back and tailbone hurt too. not aching but like it was out of place. hope this helps.

Its fairly normal. When you are pregnant your center of gravity shifts due to the extra weight you are carrying, and your muscles have to make up for that to keep you standing straight. But be sure to mention it to your doctor at your next visit. You are getting regular prenatal checkups, aren't you?

What kind of pain is it? if it's just a back ache, the weight you gain from being pregnant will cause pain, also the stretching of the body. However if it is shooting or severe cramps you should go to the Dr. just in case.

For me I its not normal. I think its better to let the doctor check your back for medication and treatment. Health is well, so go to the hospital ASAP.
