Yes, in my Human Resource class while I was in college. The instructor was asking questions on the chapter we had to read to see if anyone read it. One girl kept answering everyone question. When it was my turn she answer me question and I told her that the question was asked to me not to her. She told me to shut my stupid African American mouth up that I know it is welfare money that have me in college. I laughed, stood up, walked towards her and told her blunt out, I am not African nor American I am a Caribbean Woman and proud to be one. I am an definitely not on welfare because my parents paid for my college education. Everyone in the class was suprise how I let her have it. When the professor asked her what she does for a living and where she lives...she said she lives at a trailer park and work at a gas station. When he ask me. I told him I was living at the Four Seasons South Apartment Complex (very upscale complex) and I don't work because my parents fund my well-being.

My professor turn to her and told her she is a Trailer-Park White Trash and have the guts to call people name. Oh before I forget my professor was white.

AF my story is not made up. I went to New England Tech in Rhode Island. The Human Resource class was my last class before my last quarter in college. I can remember that day very clear. My sis-in-law was in the same class with me and she was pregnant and she was laughing because how I said I am not African nor American. I always tell people that when I am in the US. That I am not African nor American I am a Caribbean Woman.

Yes. Plenty. I'll just give you one, though. I was minding my own business and walking into staples. I noticed an old pickup truck parked in the front of the store, but didn't pay much attention to it as I walked by it. Then I hear this "oo oooo" (monkey noises)noise coming from the truck. I was pretty sure that noise was for me, but I didn't turn around. The store was closed, so I had to turn around to walk by my car. The truck was full of white men, and they sped away in their noisy truck while still making monkey noises at me. By the way this was about 5 years ago, which would make the year 2001. I felt like I was in the 50s.

All the time. Society thinks I am hateful/racist/bigot just because I'm white.
